Panasonic DVD-L75E
Built-in DTS® and Dolby Digital® dual decoder The DVD-LV75 is equipped with a built-in decoder for both the Dolby Digital and DTS surround-sound formats, eliminating the need for an external decoder. When you play DVD-Video discs, CDs or Video CDs encoded with Dolby Digital or DTS soundtracks, the decoder processes all six channels of audio information (left front, right front, center, left-surround, right-surround and subwoofer). The built-in decoder also lets you control speaker configuration, delay time, master volume and speaker level control. Just hook up the DVD-LV75 to your multi-channel audio system and enjoy the thrilling sounds of the theater right in your own home! 7" diagonal LCD screen The incredible DVD-LV75 has a large, built-in 7" diagonal LCD screen that uses about 337, 000 pixels to deliver clear, breathtaking images. So, no matter where you go, you'll be able to enjoy thrilling digital pictures and sound. This advanced LCD even lets you watch movies in the standard 16:9 widescreen format, or in conventional 4:3 formats, such as letterbox and pan-and-scan. Up to four hours of playback The rechargeable battery pack included with this PalmTheater™ portable DVD-Video player lets you take your movies anywhere you go. New for 2000, our improved lithium ion battery pack gives you up to 4 hours of viewing time before you have to recharge it. That's significantly longer than the length of an average movie, and practically enough time for a double feature! Downsizing technology Several essential innovations in this ultra-compact unit help make it one of Panasonic's smallest and lightest portable DVD-Video players yet. Magnesium construction has reduced the optical pickup weight to 40% of a conventional unit's, and has also reduced its height by one-third. And the DVD-LV75's body is constructed out of thin, lightweight yet strong aluminum, which maintains structural integrity. Panasonic also scaled down the traverse mechanism, which incorporates key moving parts that must operate with consistent reliability. This downsized traverse mechanism is lighter by more than half the weight of previous units, and stands at a mere 65% of last year's model's height. The slim new spindle motor (which rotates the disc) is only 60% of the weight and 65% of the height of conventional models. In order to incorporate the 7"diagonal LCD screen, Panasonic mounted a remarkable 6-layer IVH (Inner Layer Via Hole) circuit board and ultra-compact components on the LCD drive assembly. A 4-layer glass board at the bottom of the mechanism integrates all functions (it takes four separate circuit boards to do the same in tabletop units). This greatly reduces wiring material and connectors, contributing significantly to the mechanism's slim, compact size. Built-in recharger function You won't have to lug around any extra, heavy equipment to recharge the DVD-L75; the recharger function is built-in. All you have to do is connect the battery pack to the player, plug in the multi-voltage AC adaptor (also useful as a power source), and start recharging. The multi-voltage AC adaptor can supply a wide range of power voltages from 110V to 240V—which means you can use the DVD-L75 just about anywhere! Simplified on/off power switching We made the DVD-LV75 even easier than ever to switch on and off. To turn it on, simply press and hold the PLAY button. To turn it off, press and hold STOP.
