True 42-bit, 3.9 Dmax
The ArtixScan 4500t is featured with true 42 bit input and output capacity and a maximum dynamic range of 3.9Dmax. This feature enables user to capture every detail in highlight and shadow areas, as well as accurately represent the gradation setting of a preview while preparing the scan.
Hi-resolution
With 10000 element CCD, ArtixScan 4500t is capable of producing explicit transparency scans of up to 2500 dpi true optical resolution. This enables user to enlarge a 35 mm slide into A3 (11" x 17") size without image degradation and be able to print it in high-quality offset.
Various scanning media
The ArtixScan 4500t is specifically designed according to the needs of professional users. It is capable of scanning films in various sizes of up to 4" x 5". Different holders are provided to accommodate 35 mm mounted and unmounted slides 6 x 6 and 6 x 7 cm films. These holders offer flexibility in performing scanning tasks for a wide range of film sizes.
CCD cooling design
For optimizing the sensitivity of the CCD, a specially designed cooling fan system is installed in every ArtixScan4500t. This cooling fan system keeps the CCD operating at ideal temperature, assuring top-quality results with maximum detail of the scanned images.
Color accuracy
The Microtek developed scanner driver, ScanWizard Pro, links the ICC profiles into users' system devices for more accurate color management throughout the entire image acquisition processes by using the Kodak Digital Science color management engine. It is also ColorSync compatible on Macintosh system. Even though ScanWizard Pro includes an embedded look up table for proper calibration, a Microtek Scanner Profiler is provided to further enable user to calibrate their scanners with a standard IT-8 target.
ScanWizard Pro includes over 25MB of ICC profiles to match with user's monitors, inkjet and/or commercial offset printers. Specific color spaces are also provided to supplement the profiles already in a user's system. Furthermore, user may link to a new industry or custom profiles any time while working under ScanWizard Pro.
Predefined templates
Every ArtixScan 4500t is packed with a set of ready-to-use film holders that accommodate 35mm slides, 6x7 cm and 6x6 cm, and 4"x5" transparencies, positives or negatives, mounted or unmounted. These creative holders allow fast scan film mounting and significantly shorten scanning time.
Batch scans
The Microtek ScanWizard Pro, is bundled with every ArtixScan 4500t. This advanced scanner controller features a batch scan capability that allows user to scan in batches while permitting individual correction settings for each image.
