Powerful image recording functions

The QV-7000SX includes both 2x optical zoom and 2x/4x digital zoom. Using optical and digital zoom in combination makes it possible to increase the size of an image 8x. The zoom lens retracts into the camera when the power is turned off for easy portability. A swivel lens mechanism allows the lens to rotate 270 degrees to easy angle changes without moving the camera itself. A choice of recording and metering modes helps to select the settings that best suit the subject being recorded.

Digital recording versatility

Movies up to 12.8 seconds long can be recorded and instantly played back on the camera's built-in 2.5-inch high-resolution HAST* LCD monitor screen. You can even set up the camera to constantly store and refresh images in a buffer memory and record anything that happened for 12.8 seconds before the shutter button is pressed. Panorama record and playback capabilities are also provided.

High-level camera-computer data portability

The camera stores images on a CompactFlash card, in JPEG format. It also generates an HTML file on the card that allows you to easily view all images in memory on your computer screen with your Web browser. Image data also can be sent to a computer, or to a IrTran-P protocol compatible digital camera, printer, or other device by infrared data communication.
