Olympus' C-2500L ($1,499) is a digital SLR with the highest resolution of any camera in the "prosumer" professional quality cameras that consumers can buy class. Its 2.5-megapixel CCD sensor yields crisp pictures at a resolution of 1,712 by 1,368 pixels. Resolution is refined further by Olympus' TruePic technology, which adjusts the picture inside the camera for a smoother, more film-like appearance. The C-2500L is also the first camera to have a dual CompactFlash/SmartMedia memory card slot, and features a 3X optical zoom lens, a low-light autofocus system, and a full range of SLR-style controls.
